About me
Having worked in the NHS for over 20 years I am well positioned to help with an extensive range of concerns. My position supporting women’s health and wellbeing means I have experience in helping those who suffer from anxiety, loss, trauma, antenatal and postnatal depression.
As your counsellor, I will provide you with a warm, safe and non-judgemental space to share your personal issues. Together we will work to improve your happiness, wellbeing and sense of self.
My training in Gestalt therapy enables me to draw on a number of therapeutic approaches. I can help you to raise your awareness about your body, how to interpret your sensations and recognise how they are connected to your emotions and thoughts. With an increased self-awareness, you will develop a greater sense of agency and the ability to influence your thoughts and behaviours rather than repeating the usual, unhelpful patterns.
We will work together to gradually break down your obstructive patterns of thoughts and behaviour. I will provide an opportunity for you to feel heard and validated, guiding you to embark on a transformative journey towards healing and self-empowerment.
Individuals often say talking therapy does not make their problems go away, but instead, they find it easier to cope and feel therapy has a positive impact on their lives. Embarking on weekly counselling can feel daunting but this can be the first step towards making meaningful changes to your life.

In addition to my Private Practice, I have experience working as a counsellor in different settings including a Women’s Centre and a secondary school. I have also maintained work as a Counselling Coordinator for a not-for-profit counselling service for the last 2+years.
