Our therapy rooms are available to rent in five hour blocks, over three time slots: 7am to 12pm, 12.05pm to 5pm and 5.05pm to 10pm.
Where are the therapy rooms located?
Our therapy rooms are at 8 Holywell Hill, St Albans, right in the city centre. The entrance is set back from the road between “Currency Exchange” and “Rebecca Clark Interiors,” directly opposite “Books on the Hill.”
We are within easy walking distance of both St Albans Abbey and St Albans City train stations, and several nearby city-centre car parks make access simple for clients.
What types of therapy rooms do you offer?
We now offer four beautifully furnished therapy rooms designed for a wide range of professional services including talking therapies, counselling, psychotherapy, EMDR, coaching, couples therapy, and clinical psychology.
Each room is:
- professionally decorated in a calm, neutral style
- sound-insulated for confidentiality
- equipped with comfortable seating
- suitable for one-to-one, couples, small-group sessions, or coaching
Room views:
- Front-facing rooms overlook Holywell Hill
- Back-facing rooms provide peaceful vistas of St Albans Cathedral and Vintry Garden

What are the hours and availability for room hire?
Rooms are available Monday to Saturday, with Sundays by arrangement.
Therapy rooms can be booked in five-hour blocks, across three daily slots:
- Morning: 7:00 – 12:00
- Afternoon: 12:05 – 17:00
- Evening: 17:05 – 22:00
A key benefit of working at No.8 is that your room and block are reserved for you, so there’s no need to keep rebooking.
What are the fees for hiring a therapy room?
Fees vary depending on room size and time of day. Monthly prices (rounded) with weekly block prices in brackets:
Rooms 1, 2 & 4
- Morning / Afternoon block: £229 per month (£55 per block; Mondays £50)
- Evening block: £270 per month (£65 per block; Mondays £60)
Room 3 (largest room)
- Morning / Afternoon block: £291 per month (£70 per block; Mondays £65)
- Evening block: £333 per month (£80 per block; Mondays £75)
Discounts for multiple blocks:
- 5% discount when booking 3 blocks
- 10% discount when booking 4 blocks
Rooms are paid on a monthly basis, calculated from weekly block cost across 50 working weeks, divided into 12 months. This means no charges during Christmas and New Year, and your monthly fee stays consistent.
What amenities and facilities are provided?
Our therapy rooms include:

Who are your therapy rooms suitable for?
Rooms are available to qualified, insured therapists, counsellors, coaches, clinical psychologists, and other talking-therapy professionals.
They are perfect for anyone looking for therapy room hire in St Albans with excellent central access, attractive surroundings, and a high-quality professional setting.
What is the commitment period and how does payment work?
We ask for an initial three-month commitment for all therapy room bookings. After the first three months, you may end your booking with four weeks’ notice.
All therapists sign a straightforward Licence Agreement, confirming the room, the block, and the monthly payment. Monthly fees are based on 50 working weeks, divided into 12 equal payments, so there are no charges during Christmas and New Year.
Can I advertise as a therapist through your network?
Yes! We have a sister website where we promote our therapists to clients in St Albans and surrounding areas.
The cost to advertise with us is £59 per year, which includes a profile listing to help you reach clients actively seeking therapy services.
